Backup Panel (non-follow-up panel) |
| A non-follow-up command module hardwired to the device interface, bypassing the primary control system & linking directly to dedicated hydraulic control valves at the device. This panel satisfies the requirements for a primary steering system when used in conjunction with the networked ship dynamics controller and indication. The backup panel can also be used on its own as an open loop basic position system for simple trim and position applications.

Graphical User Interface - Main |
| The primary display of the Ship Dynamics Controller, displaying measured motions and all system/device settings and data. Typically placed in the bridge at the Engineer's control station. |

| A small touch screen to display and control system data. Graphical user interfaces connect directly to the network and can be used wherever access to system information is required. Typical use is for local display and control, adjacent to each device or group of devices. |

Indicator Panel |
| A hardwired position indicator connecting directly to the device interface to show the position of a stabilizing, steering or propulsion device. The indicator panel bypasses the primary control system and satisfies the requirement for independent indication of primary steering systems. Indication can be used with any device. |
