The information we collect

We only collect personal information, which is reasonably necessary and at times we may need to collect sensitive information about your project and your inquiry so that we can

  • consider requests and approaches you make to us, and
  • maintain your contact details.

We generally hold personal information relating to

  • the products and services we provide or have provided to you and your associated business, and
  • your contact details.

The Ship Dynamics subscription registration process requires customers and interested parties to provide their contact information (i.e. name and email address). This information will be used to notify receipiants of information, announcements and new product releases relevant to the business of Ship Dynamics.

How that information is used

We only use and disclose information about your project for the purpose for which it was disclosed to us or related purposes, which would reasonably be expected without your permission.

We do not use or share that information for any purpose except in the case where we use partners for manufacturing purposes of our products. In this case we will only provide the necessary information for them to conduct their task. We will always seek our client’s written approval when any information of a sensitive nature must be disclosed to a third party in order for us to conduct their business.

Under no circumstances will Ship Dynamics sell, trade, exchange, or otherwise make available, any personally identifiable information to any third party, company or organisation. It is this fundamental principle upon which all business aspects at ship dynamics are founded and conducted.

Keeping information accurate and up to date

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that all information we hold is as accurate as is possible. You are able to contact us at any time and ask for its correction if you feel the information we have about you is inaccurate or incomplete.
Should at anytime you wish to have your name removed from our subscription database please advise us by email and we will do so.

Keeping information secure

We use a secure server and the latest technology to protect the information we hold. Access to and use of personal information within Ship Dynamics is appropriately limited to prevent misuse or unlawful disclosure of the information.  Where the personal information we collect is no longer required, we delete the information.

Dealing with Ship Dynamics online

If you visit Ship Dynamics’ website to log into our client areas. Your account information is password protected and we recommend you do not divulge your password to anyone.

Collection of information via web site activity

For statistical purposes we collect information on web site activity (such as the number of users who visit the web site, the date and time of visits, the number of pages viewed, navigation patterns, what country and IP address). This information on its own does not identify an individual but it does provide us with statistics that we can use to analyse and improve our web sites.

This non-personal information is collected, aggregated and may be used from time to time to assist in our analysis of our web sites. You cannot be identified personally from this information and no personal information is stored about you. Ship Dynamics makes no attempt to identify individuals or organisations through this information.
